Hugo MinneyHugo Minney, Benefits Management SME, Sellafield Ltd

Dr Hugo Minney cut his teeth on benefits management through ICT installations for government, health service and utilities in 1990s, before joining NHS to deliver new ways of working and new types of worker and bring healthcare to the patient (“it’s not the years in your life, it’s the life in your years” was our motto).  He’s currently at Sellafield Ltd, one of the largest nuclear waste reprocessing and long-term management organisations in the world, where he’s developing the approach to monetising reduced risk and hazard, and a portfolio-wide framework for prioritising investment both during discovery and planning, and during delivery / handover / bedding in.

Minney chairs the British Standards Institute panel which has just published BS202002 Benefits management, a synthesis of good practice across many organisations across UK (and some international), and he will illustrate the conversation with case studies about the particular challenges encountered, how they were overcome, and some of the bad practice (seven deadly sins) that is still prevalent.
