Research funding and collaborative research

Research Funding Opportunities

Our research funding supports innovative academic research aimed at advancing APM’s mission to further the science, theory and practice of project and programme management for the public benefit.

APM offers two distinct research funds: the Early Career Research Fund and the Main Research Fund. Both funds issue an annual call, and the research supported typically spans one year.

The Main Research Fund, with a larger budget, is designed to support large-scale studies focusing on specific themes within project and programme management. Applications for this fund will open in mid-2025.

The Early Career Research Fund is aimed at supporting researchers in the early stages of their careers, and applications are currently open. We are inviting applications for this fund and will be selecting two research proposals, each to receive £10,000.

Please read more about this opportunity below and ensure that you apply using the correct format. We look forward to receiving your proposals.
