Agile Question Time webinar
The South Wales and West of England Branch offered a novel event for the APM community where the attendees set the agenda for discussion on any aspect of agile project delivery and developing agile organisations. This webinar was held on 5 July 2022.
To answer your questions we had Barbara Roberts, a highly experienced agile practitioner and advocate for an agile culture within organisations to enable successful agile projects.
Barbara presented the very well-received Agile – What’s the risk? webinar earlier this year, and she has agreed to follow-up with an open event inviting questions on any aspect of agile thinking and delivery. An ideal opportunity to clarify agile understanding and benefits, identify the pitfalls and ways to avoid them.
Barbara has very kindly allowed their presented material to be made available for viewing. The webinar recording on YouTube is now available in our APM resources area and also embedded below for reference.
Any questions raised and not addressed during the session have been reviewed and published with the speaker responses.
Barbara Roberts, Agile Transformation Coach
Barbara has been actively involved in agile from its inception. She is a signatory of the Agnostic Agile Oath, and believes strongly that choosing the right agile approach, or combination of agile approaches is a key factor for success. She has published a white paper “Agile Wars and How to Avoid Them” to support this viewpoint. She was an early adopter for one of the first agile methods, DSDM, which was developed based on the UK complex corporate environment. She was also a director of the Agile Business Consortium (previously known as the DSDM Consortium) for over 20 years.
Creation of Agile Project Management (AgilePM) was Barbara’s original idea, and since its launch this has surpassed 200,000 exams. Barbara is well-known for her pragmatic, common-sense approach to agile, and has led many successful agile transformations with organisations from all business sectors, often in highly regulated environments.
Barbara continues to drive the effective use of agile in the complex corporate arena, most recently leading the team creating Agile Portfolio Management (AgilePfM).
This event is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
