The UK Government has developed a Project Delivery Standard based on leading best practice to support the successful delivery of government projects. This was launched in a webinar on Thursday 25 October 2018.

Project delivery is at the heart of all government activity, whether it’s building roads and rail, strengthening our armed forces, modernising IT or transforming the way government provides public services to citizens. Getting these projects right is essential.

The Project Delivery Standard has been developed by government, for government. It combines leading best practice into a single Standard that is fit for more than 11,000 project delivery professionals who are leading and delivering some of the country’s most complex projects.

While there is no one set way to deliver a project, there is now a common Standard that project delivery professionals can follow to ensure they are empowered to deliver and government is setting up projects and programmes for success.

This webinar provided an overview on:

  1. Why Government needs Project Delivery Standards
  2. The development of the Project Delivery Standard
  3. The benefits of a Project Delivery Standard
  4. Who the Standard affects within and external to Government
  5. How you can use the Standard
